I found my love of photography when my parents gave me a vintage Kodak Brownie and a roll of 120 film, around the age of 9. I loved the idea of freezing a moment in time and being able to put a photograph in an album to look back on. I love the emotion and nostalgic attachment to photography, taking photographs which show the relationship between people, capturing simple moments, telling a story.  Photography gives me an artistic freedom which I wouldn't otherwise have and I get a buzz from being behind the camera.

I set up Daren Baler Photography in 2015, got myself two Nikon D750's and some wonderful fast lenses and set about turning my passion into something more!

I shoot documentary styled weddings, trying to make the day as free flowing as possible. I like capturing candid unaware moments, with some gently posed images of the couple but always making sure it's as relaxed and naturally captured as possible.

In my spare time I love a G&T, coffee, music, the sea (I live right next to it!), messing about with my two children and catching up with my wonderfulf family & friends. If I'm not photographing a wedding or another shoot, or spending time with my two beautiful kids or partner, I'm often found wandering and taking in the landscape. My image "The watering hole", seen below, was listed in the final 3 of the nature category of National Geographic Traveller , displayed in the NGT exhibition in London and was printed in the April 2017 edition of their monthly magazine.
