Worthing, Sussex based wedding & lifestyle photographer

I found my love of photography when my parents gave me a vintage Kodak Brownie and a roll of 120 film, around the age of 9. I loved the idea of freezing a moment in time and being able to put a photograph in an album to look back on. I love the emotion and nostalgic attachment to photography, taking photographs which show the relationship between people, capturing simple moments, telling a story.  Photography gives me an artistic freedom which I wouldn't otherwise have.

I set up Daren Baker Photography in 2015, got myself two Nikon D750's and some wonderful fast lenses and set about turning my passion into something more!

I like to think my images speak for themselves and provide a better idea of my style than I can put into words, after all a picture speaks a thousand words! I like to think I’m versatile and adapt slightly with the client in mind but I certainly have a more documentary & candid approach.

My main aim is to let the day flow, for you to not realise I am clicking away and capturing all the little moments that I can then sew together to tell the story of your day. Other than organising a few group shots and gently posing some couple shots, I don’t want to distract from what is real and your day should continue as if I wasn’t really there. I love capturing candid unaware moments, which you wouldn't have even noticed.

In my spare time I love music, the arts, the sea (I live right next to it!), being out and about with my two children and catching up with my wonderful family & friends. If I'm not photographing a wedding or another shoot, I'm often found wandering and taking in the landscape. My image "The watering hole", seen below, was listed in the final 3 of the nature category of National Geographic Traveller and printed in the April 2017 edition of their monthly magazine.
