Rosie & Rich’s Wedding at Highdown Vineyard, Sussex
I’m delighted to share some images from Rosie and Rich’s wonderful wedding day back in late spring!
After a relaxed and fun morning photographing Rosie getting ready at home, we set off for St Andrew’s Church in Tarring, a beautiful 11th-century Sussex church. The timing couldn’t have been better, with the churchyard filled with gorgeous pink and white blossom, creating a lovely backdrop for their wedding photographs.
There was a little unexpected drama when the arrival of the rings was delayed, resulting in a wait of over an hour at the church! Thankfully, both Rosie and Rich remained wonderfully calm and unruffled throughout. It just goes to show that even when wedding plans take an unexpected turn, the day can still unfold beautifully.
Following the ceremony, the celebrations continued at Highdown Vineyard in Ferring, a fantastic wedding venue nestled on the southern slopes of the South Downs. With its unique vineyard setting and beautiful countryside views, it’s a wonderful place to celebrate a Sussex wedding.
The weather was mostly overcast, with a few lovely breaks of sunshine that added a little extra magic to the photographs. I spent some time with Rosie and Rich capturing their couple portraits, and it was so easy to see just how much they love each other. Those little glances, natural smiles and moments of admiration said everything!
When we first met, they were a little concerned about being in front of the camera, but they really had nothing to worry about. They were so natural together, and capturing their connection felt completely effortless. I always want couples to feel relaxed and enjoy their time together, rather than feel as though they're constantly posing for photographs.
Rosie and Rich’s wedding was a wonderful day filled with love, laughter and some beautiful moments, all set against two fantastic Sussex wedding locations. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of their celebrations and capture these memories for them.
A brilliant day, a beautiful venue and an amazing couple!
