Brookfield Barn - Hannah & Tom

Stunning wedding day at Brookfield Barn, with the gorgeous Hannah & Tom. Such a fun couple, who made the most of every single moment of their day. They couldn’t have been luckier with the weather, with the sun out in a blaze of glory!

I photographed a fairly relaxed Hannah getting ready with her Mum and bridesmaids at Birchwood Cottage, a sweet airbnb, tucked away down a local country lane. Final preparations took place at Brookfield Barn, before Hannah walked to meet Tom, to say “yes”.

It was the hottest day of the year, during a very dry spell and you can see from the pictures, taken out on the golf course, just how yellow the grass was. Despite the sweltering heat, the wedding party were determined to wear their full wedding attire for most of the day, especially for the family and friends photos.

Hannah & Tom are both fun, warm and genuine & the day was simply a pleasure for me to be part of. The only downside was that (even against Hannah’s advice), I admitted to Tom that I support Spurs! This resulted in me being treated to plenty of banter from Tom & his groomsmen for the rest of the day! :-)

Brookfield Barn hosted seamlessly, with perfect attention to detail. It’s such a picturesque location, in a beautiful countryside setting.

Cissbury Ring - Judy & Stuart

Another wonderful time up at Cissbury Barns for Judy and Stuarts wedding.

I was asked to come along for just a few hours to capture a small number of post ceremony photos, mainly family portraits and friends gathered in celebration.

Judy was especially nervous about being photographed & I could see her nerves as she waited to join Stuart in the ceremony. However, like many brides Judy was much more relaxed after the ceremony; lost in the emotions and celebrations and despite her telling me that she didn’t feel that she could smile naturally, she really did.

It’s becoming more popular to be asked to cover just a few hours or half a day, so if it’s something you are thinking about be sure to talk to me about it.

Cissbury Ring - Tash & Nick

Tash & Nick married at Cissbury Barns, hidden away up on the beautiful South Downs. A stunning location for a wonderful couple. Tash and Nick wanted a fairly low key, authentic photographic record of their day, so nothing overly posed, which worked perfectly for me.

The location is truly romantic and full of photo hotspots, whether its the attractive flint walled gardens or the awe inspiring back drop of the South Downs countryside, Cissbury Barns has lots to offer.

We didn’t get a sunset but we did capture some beautiful memories.

“We had Daren as our wedding photographer last year and he was absolutely lovely from start to finish. He was so helpful and gave us some really good ideas for the day. Communication was always fantastic! A really friendly guy, who put us at ease. Would really recommend going for the printed album too.”
